We had 18m² double rooms, city view (not Skytree view) was breathtaking, we had clear weather and saw Mt. Fuji the first morning! Clean rooms, enough space for 2 suitcases, comfortable beds, functional bathroom. We booked breakfast and were happy about it, lot of choice for Asian and European taste, great view from the room too. The hotel is very well positioned, quiet, but close to Ueno station and the lively street markets and Ueno park. Perfect hub for reaching anything in Tokyo and the airport. Elevator is slow, be patient. Staff spoke practically no English, but with very basic Japanese, hands, and Google translator we got along fine. There was also a microwave on our floor to heat up your own food, very practical.

First and foremost, the view. I had a room with the Skytree view, and there are no buildings nearby that are as high as Crown Hills, so you have an unobstructed view. Also, it’s only about a five-minute walk to Ueno Station, and you can use the overhead pedestrian walkways so you don’t even have to cross traffic. The room seems a bit more spacious than most business hotels, and it’s well laid-out so you don’t feel cramped (although I was there alone). There was also a microwave on the floor by the elevator, so that’s very handy.

David

Breakfast exceeded my expectation. It will be good to rotate something every 2-3 days as I stay 5 night. Room is small but that's what I pay for. The skytree view is excellent. I woke up early one day and see sunrise. Room is also quite soundproof. Not much noise compare many hotel I have stayed before. Location is good. Not too busy but just cross the street and walk 30 seconds, already reached all the restaurant and shop. Big 7-11 just downstairs.

Room had a long corridor allowing for luggage space (a bit more than other Japanese hotel rooms). The views are amazing looking out over Ueno Park and on the clearest day we could see Mount Fuji from our window! Breakfast was great with many different things and a Japanese feel (with enough other stuff if you fancied cereals or pastry). Right in the heart of Ueno with great transfer links and so much round about - we were happy we based ourselves here.

Robert

The location is convenient and near to Ueno station. The breakfast is nice and has western and japanese choices, and price is also very reasonable. There are washing machines for washing clothes which us a huge plus. I could see Mt Fuji in the distance as well as Tokyo Skytree from the restaurant window/ washing area. The hotel is also a short walk from the Keisei Ueno Station if you are going to take the Skyliner to Narita Airport.
